Data protection and processing of personal data
We want you to feel safe when using our digital platforms. Therefore, it is important to inform you about how we handle your personal data. Here you can read more about what applies.
As of 25 May 2018, a new data protection legislation (GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation) applies in Sweden and the rest of the EU. The legislation replaces the Personal Data Act and is intended to protect the privacy of individuals.
What is a personal data and what is meant by processing?
Personal information is all kinds of information that can be attributed to a natural person who is alive. For example, it could be your name, address, social security number or pictures that show who you are. By processing personal data is meant everything that we do when we handle data about you digitally. In this case, we only collect your email address and your name when you contact us.
Why do we handle your personal information?
Our purpose with the treatment is to be able to contact you to help you with your inquiries. Your contact information will only be used for this.
What right do we have to handle your personal data?
For this treatment, we have consent as a legal basis. You always have the right to regret and withdraw your consent. You do this by contacting the municipality at kommun@arvidsjaur.se and then we can no longer handle your information.
How long do we store your personal information?
Our handling of information is covered by the principle of openness and the Swedish regulations regarding public documents. This means that your personal data will be handled for the time needed and in some cases for all time to come in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of the Press Ordinance, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act and the Archives Act.
What if you have agreed that we handle your information?
If you have agreed that we handle your personal data, you always have the right to regret and withdraw your consent. You do this by contacting the municipality at kommun@arvidsjaur.se. In that case, we will no longer be allowed to handle your information. If you revoke your consent, it does not affect the legality of the publication before the consent was revoked.
To whom else do we provide your personal information?
Your information stays with us, as the information in question is only needed to be able to get in touch with you, and if necessary provide help with how to use the location mark.
Individual rights.
You have the right to request an extract from the register to find out how we store your personal data. You also have the right to request that incorrect or incomplete personal data be corrected or deleted. You can also object to or request a restriction on the handling of your personal data. In some cases, you may have the right to have your information moved.
